The Do More Charity Challenge at Front Range CrossFit in Denver, Colorado earlier this month allowed teams to choose a cause they believe in and compete for the chance to earn money for it. The event had over 20 teams and CrossFit Games athletes Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Pat Burke, Jasmine Dever, and Scott Olson competed.
Steve's Club Denver had three teams that competed on its behalf and raised over $2,000 before the competition. The team from Project Rise Fitness – Stapleton took 5th place and earned an additional $10,000 for the program!
"There were fully grown men and women crying from happiness as we found out just how much we had helped Steve's Club Denver," said an elated and emotional Duncan Seawall, founder of Steve's Club Denver. "The win simultaneously put us on the map in the Denver non-profit and CrossFit communities. More importantly, it ensured our program's longevity, and with the funds we will be able to bring our club to more kids in the Denver area. Starting a Steve's Club was one of the best decisions we've ever made. There are kids getting fitter, adults learning from kids and an entire community coming together to make sure these kids avoid becoming just another statistic."
Congratulations Steve's Club Denver!
